The Role

We have a vacancy with our expanding company for a machine setter

Progression will be based on the candidate's ability and experience within the business, you may also be required to do further training outside the business that will have our full support.

Candidate should have level 3 engineering or a very strong engineering background as a minimum

Rotating shifts 6-2/2-10

40hrs / week

Responsibilities

Setting various types of high-volume production machines, these may vary from hot forging, multi spindle to 3-way transfer machines. A strong focus on Health & Safety and Quality besides production Ensuring machines are set in accordance with process demands Looking for opportunity to reduce machine cycle times and improve output A focus on machine performance once up and running to analyse tooling life and machine performance

Attributes

Engineering background and manufacturing experience Requires industrial engineering skills Have an understanding of metal cutting Reliability with good time and attendance Good communication skills Good mechanical aptitude and approach to problem solving Strong focus on Health & Safety and Quality in a high production environment Strive for continual improvement with all aspects of the job Ability to make decisions with a team or independently

Pay: From 29,000.00 per year
