30,000 during a 3-month probation period, rising to 33,280 after a successful review.

This is a

hands-on, physical, mechanically orientated role

where you will be actively involved with machinery, setups, quality control, and team support. This is not an office or clipboard job -- you will lead from the front on the production floor.

What You'll Be Doing Day-to-Day

As a Machine Supervisor, you will oversee a production line or section of the factory, ensuring it runs efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

1. Line Oversight & Coordination

You will:

Take ownership of a production line or designated section Coordinate with operators to prepare tooling, plates, stock, cylinders, and materials Plan work efficiently to maintain smooth flow and meet deadlines Ensure correct interpretation of job bags and winding instructions

2. Hands-On Machine Support

You will actively support with:

Mechanical adjustments and troubleshooting Setting or assisting with tooling, dies, plates, and web paths Programming and checking turret rewinders Overseeing heavy lifting tasks using overhead cranes when required Ensuring setups are carried out correctly and safely

3. Quality Control & Process Management

You will:

Monitor quality throughout the run Check register, die pressure, rewinding, tension, and consistency Identify issues quickly and take corrective action Maintain accurate paperwork and production documentation

4. Leadership & Team Support

You will:

Guide and support machine operators during changeovers and setups Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and organisation Make confident decisions in fast-paced situations Uphold the culture of teamwork and mutual assistance

What We're Looking For

Experience in print, finishing, engineering, manufacturing, or machine operation is strongly preferred.

Experience working with machinery or in a production environment Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to guide and support a small team Good communication skills Physically fit (lifting and standing required) Comfortable making decisions independently English required
