Overview and Purpose of Role
As an important member of the cutting shop team, you will be responsible for operating a Machine to ensure the manufacturing process is efficient in all aspects.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Read and understand engineering drawings
Supervise the laser machine during operation
Load and unload various cuts of material to suit the job
Carry out inspections on finished products
Place all components on pallets and label accordingly
Carry out routine maintenance and calibration of machines

Ensure compliance to all general site Rules, Regulations, Policies & Procedures
Any other duties as required by management to suit business needs.

Adherence to company health and safety procedures.
Essential Skills -
Previous experience working in a Cutting Shop/Machine Shop
Knowledge of operating CNC Machines
Must have knowledge of various types of steel and density.
Communication - Able to communicate problems/issues at all team members
Initiative - Ability to work on their own or as part of their team
Versatility/Adaptability - Ability to adjust to change e.g. job machine/process
Problem Solving - Ability to fault find, trouble shoot, diagnose and resolve issues
Quality - Comply with quality regulations & standards, attention to detail
Available to work flexible hours when required with notice
Experience using CNC machines or manual mill is essential*
Hours of work, Monday - Thursday 6pm - 6am. 12 hour shifts - , OT is paid after 41.5 hours.
