What you'll do



Lead and develop a strong reliability culture across maintenance and production teams.

Take a hands-on approach to solving complex equipment issues and coaching others through improvements. Design and deliver Operator Asset Care training across factory areas. Drive continuous improvement projects to boost equipment uptime and performance. Lead weekly CI meetings focused on unplanned downtime using structured problem-solving tools. Own and analyse asset maintenance data to ensure quality, completeness, and actionable insights. Quantify and integrate maintenance improvements into the wider CI plan. Lead root cause investigations and ensure learnings are embedded to prevent recurrence. Develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies and optimise PM plans. Utilise tools such as CMMS, RCM, RBI, RCA, and more to enhance reliability. Conduct routine inspections and lead corrective actions to minimise downtime. Act as the key contact for OEM support during breakdowns or escalations. Provide technical input into new equipment design, installation, and maintenance planning.

What you'll bring



Experience & Education

:

Completed a multi-skilled apprenticeship or 5+ years of hands-on experience. HNC/HND/BTEC Level or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation disciplines. Background in FMCG or food manufacturing environments.

Technical Skills

:

Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Automation maintenance. Familiarity with food manufacturing equipment and OEM asset care guidance. Proficient in using Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., Shire). Skilled in analysing large data sets and turning insights into action. Solid understanding of reliability principles and maintenance strategies.

Leadership & Communication

:

Proven ability to coach and influence maintenance teams. Experience training factory-floor colleagues, including those with varying English literacy. Strong organisational and planning skills. Confident in driving change and implementing new ways of working. Effective facilitator and delegator.

Continuous Improvement

:

Knowledge and practical experience with CI/Lean techniques. Ability to develop and implement preventative maintenance plans.

Pay: 48,200.00 per year
