Company Description
ST&L Limited has been an independent provider of Machinery Safety Services since 1998. As well as working extensively throughout the UK, our consultants have carried out Machinery Safety Projects in Europe and the USA. Due to continued success, ST&L Limited is looking to recruit an additional trainer to join their growing team which provides high quality machinery safety training to their large list of clients
Role Description
Deliver a variety of bespoke machinery safety training courses such as PUWER, CE marking and Functional Safety with the potential to introduce other courses at a later date. Interact with our Training Management System to input delegate details and booking details to ensure efficient running of the courses and client experience. Assist with the creations or adaptation of training materials for current courses and new courses. Undertake examination of delegates and register their results with the appropriate bodies. Undertake IQA (Internal Quality Assurance) audits of other assessors to ensure consistency of approach and quality throughout the business.
Key Skills
Delivering multiple training courses to wide variety of industries
Be able to develop and maintain machine safety course content, material, and equipment
Good command of the English language for writing reports and researching standards
Computer literate with an understanding of Microsoft applications
The ability and willingness to learn new skills and maintain current knowledge
Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team
Work in various industrial environments (PPE/RPE is provided where required)
Qualifications
- Not essential as full training will be provided
Formal teaching qualifications (CAVA, PTLLS, AET, TAQA or equivalent)
Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH, NVQs etc.)
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualifications (Apprentice Trained / HNC / Degree qualified)
Machinery Safety Qualifications (e.g. CMSE)
First Aid at Work (Level 3)
Desirables -
As an advantage (but not essential) you will have knowledge in a least one of the following:
The Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008, the Machinery Directive/Regulation
UK, European and International standards (e.g. EN ISO 13857, EN ISO 14119, EN ISO 14120 etc.)
Risk Assessments for Machinery (e.g. EN ISO 12100)
Functional Safety / Control Systems (e.g. EN ISO 13859-1, EN 62061 etc.)
Machinery electrical installation, including electrical enclosures (e.g. EN 60204-1)
Pneumatic and Hydraulic installations (e.g. EN ISO 4413, EN ISO 4414 etc.)
Essential Requirements
The right candidate must have a Full clean Driving Licence and own transport
The willingness to travel and be away from home for periods of up to 3-4 days (Mon to Thurs) up to 1-2 times per month
Be prepared to undertake further professional training
