Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Dundee. As a Machinist/CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to repair precise turbine components. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting engineering drawings, selecting appropriate tools, inspecting finished parts for accuracy, and performing routine machine maintenance. Collaboration with engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes will also be a key part of the role. The ideal candidate will possess a mixture of programming expertise and tool making experience. Will also be skilled in the programming and use of EDM, Vertical borer, CNC lathes, Milling equipment and CMM measurement experience. Please note that shift working may be required.
Qualifications
Proficiency in CNC programming and operation
Experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
Skills in machine setup, tool selection, and maintenance
Knowledge of quality control and inspection techniques
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail and precision in work
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Relevant technical certifications or a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
