Job Description

Lawrence and foster Ltd are a small family company, who manufacture quality hats and caps. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the last hat manufacturers in the UK. We are looking to recruit a Cutter/Divider, to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the clothing industry and be willing to learn new skills. Training will be given but this position is only suitable for those who have experience using shears. The role will involve the organisation and management of work for the machinists which includes both key account customers and individual clients.

Tasks include but are not limited to

Dividing and organizing work for machinists

Attaching interlining (fusing) on fabric using bonded press/seals

Preparing and organizing fabric panels for production

Occasional hand-cutting of lining and use of shears

Numeracy skills, laying out and organizing production to be tracked through manufacturing process

This is a full-time position. 40hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 7.50am to 5pm and Friday 7.50am until 1.10pm.

Salary meets national minimum wage during training, increasing as progression is achieved.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 23,000.00-25,000.00 per year
