, we're looking for an outstanding
Lead Instructor
to join our team full-time and drive our expansion.
Your Role
As our
Lead Instructor
, you'll combine classroom performance with leadership and strategic coordination. You'll be delivering high-energy science sessions while helping to shape the success of the region.
Deliver exciting, interactive workshops and clubs to groups of 25-30 primary-aged children with energy, clarity, and confidence.
Perform Live Science Shows
Engage whole-school audiences with dynamic, demonstration-based science assemblies.
Mentor Junior Instructors
Support and guide newer team members to maintain high teaching standards and team morale.
Manage Equipment
Organise and maintain science kits, ensuring materials are prepared and replenished for each session.
Area Lead Responsibilities (Remote/Admin, 20 hrs/week)
Drive Area Growth
Plan and execute local strategies to grow bookings, visibility, and partnerships within your territory. Including education based sales to schools to book after school clubs.
Coordinate Local Operations
Oversee session logistics, instructor scheduling, and kit distribution for the Gloucestershire/West Oxfordshire region.
Train & Support Staff
Assit to deliver training and development sessions to maintain a consistent, high-quality delivery standard.
Build Client Relationships
Maintain strong links with school staff and decision-makers to ensure ongoing satisfaction and repeat business.
Report & Monitor
Analyse session feedback and performance data to drive improvement and identify growth opportunities.
What We're Looking For
This is a
full-time role
(40 hours/week), ideal for someone who is:
Essential
Able to
independently lead sessions
with
25-30 children
confidently and energetically
Experienced in
working with children aged 5-11
, ideally in educational or childcare settings (minimum 2 years)
A confident, engaging communicator with a natural flair for performance and public speaking
Highly organised and capable of managing their own schedule, logistics, and resources
Full UK driving licence
and access to a reliable car (travel to schools is required)
Available Monday to Friday
, including mornings and after-school hours
In possession of, or willing to obtain, an
Enhanced DBS check
Comfortable using tech for scheduling, communication, and reporting
Passionate about science, learning, and making a positive impact
Desirable
DBS registered on the update service
First Aid certification
Background in education, STEM fields, or performance arts
Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring peers
Experience in education sales.
