Summary

Mad Science of Hertfordshire is looking for enthusiastic, confident presenters to join our team delivering exciting science experiences for children in schools, homes, and holiday camps.

This is a flexible, part-time role, ideal for performers, students, educators, or anyone seeking engaging work that fits around other commitments. We are particularly interested in applicants available 3-5 afternoons per week.

Role Overview:

You will deliver fun, high-energy science sessions for children aged 4-11, including:

After School Science Clubs

: weekly sessions in primary schools.

School Day Workshops

: curriculum-linked science workshops during the school day.

Birthday Parties (Weekends)

: interactive and hands-on science party entertainment.

Holiday Camps

: science-themed camps during school holidays

Full training, lesson plans, and equipment are provided.

Hours & Contract:

20 hours per week. Hours & days to be agreed with additional work opportunities based on your availability.

Work offered flexibly to suit your availability.

Ideal candidates available 3-5 days per week.

Work available weekdays, after school, weekends, and school holidays

What We're Looking For:

Enthusiastic, reliable, and confident individuals.

Comfortable presenting to groups of children.

Strong communication and group management skills.

Enjoy being energetic, engaging, and entertaining.

Willingness to travel locally within Hertfordshire, Enfield & Barnet with regular access to a car and full UK driving licence.

Backgrounds in the performance industry, education, childcare, or science are an advantage.

Must be willing to complete safeguarding and background checks.

No science qualification required: full training provided.
