JOB SUMMARY
Redbrick Academy is delighted to announce the launch of our new Afterschool Club at Afifah School, Old Trafford, starting at the beginning of the academic term 2025. We are seeking a dedicated Madrassah Teacher to teach children aged 5 to 15 years old in group settings, using tailored teaching methods and targets suited to their needs.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the growth of our new site, contributing both in the classroom and in supporting the wider coordination of educational, administrative, and logistical aspects of the Madrassah.
Fixed Hours: Monday to Friday, 4.15pm - 5.15pm
Salary: 12 - 14 per hour (negotiable depending on experience and qualifications)
Location: Afifah School, Old Trafford, Manchester
Reporting to: Director, Centre Manager, and Madrassah Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver high-quality Islamic education in line with Redbrick's educational vision and values.
Implement tailored teaching strategies and assessment methods to support student achievement.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages Islamic values, character development, and a love for learning.
Teach and support the Madrassah Manager in managing admissions, scheduling, attendance, and discipline.
Create and maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and educational activities.
Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and staff.
Monitor and support student progress, behaviour, and well-being.
Participate in staff meetings and contribute to team development.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience
Experience working with children aged 5-15 years.
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar teaching or Madrassah role.
Strong knowledge and understanding of Islamic teachings, principles, and values.
Experience in educational administration or management (desirable).
Strong organisational skills and effective communication.
Confident with IT and educational software tools.
Qualifications / Training
Higher degree or specialised Islamic education certification.
Completion of Aalima course (or equivalent Islamic studies programme).
Personal Qualities
Reliable, dedicated, and enthusiastic.
Strong time management and patience.
Hardworking, caring, and committed to student development.
Proficiency in English.
Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Desirable Qualities
Proficiency in IT for educational use.
Prior management or leadership experience.
