The role is full time, Monday to Friday - from 08:30 AM to 16:30 PM.

Job description

Reporting to the E-Commerce Dispatch Coordinator, the

Order Packer

is responsible for preparing and packing stock for our Mail Order team. During quieter periods, the role will also involve supporting general nursery operations. This position involves mostly indoor but some outdoor work so you

must be willing to work in all weather conditions

.

Key Responsibilities

Daily duties include:

Checking order details and reporting any discrepancies or issues

Ensuring plants meet quality standards, including removing dead or damaged leaves

Packing scheduled orders, weighing parcels and applying correct labels

Building pallets and positioning completed orders for dispatch

Ensuring the accuracy of all packed orders

Maintaining equipment and reporting any faults or malfunctions

Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment at all times.

Additional responsibilities may include

(but are not limited to):

Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries

Stocking and restocking areas across the nursery.

Skills & Requirements

Essential:

Good command of English

Strong attention to detail

Reliable, punctual and diligent

Good physical strength and stamina

Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 30 kg.

Desirable:

Previous order packing experience (preferred but not essential)

Ability to work well as part of a team while also using own initiative.

Pay: 12.21-12.63 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
