As Maintenance Assistant at Another Place, The Machrie you will have a blend of responsibilities related to both vehicle operations and maintaining equipment, facilities and machinery.

What your days could look like:

Routine Inspections: Conduct regular checks and maintenance on equipment, machinery and systems to ensure they are in good working order. Repairs and Troubleshooting: Perform minor repairs, adjustments and troubleshooting of faulty equipment or machinery. Cleaning and Upkeep: Maintain cleanliness and order in work areas, ensuring proper storage of tools and equipment. Inventory Management: Monitor and report on the condition of maintenance supplies and equipment, ordering new items as needed. General Facility Maintenance: Assist in the upkeep of buildings and surrounding areas (e.g., painting, basic plumbing or carpentry tasks). Safety Compliance: Ensure that safety standards are followed, reporting any hazards or safety concerns. Assist with: preventative, planned and reactive maintenance needs and assist with room set-ups for events. Ensure that any requests in the maintenance log are completed in a timely manner. Support with garden work when required

What you offer

A full, clean driving licence Experience in a similar industry, preferably hospitality Knowledge of the current health and safety legislation for both driving and maintenance tasks. The ability to diagnose and repair day-to-day mechanical/practical problems and make necessary repairs correctly and safely. Willingness to follow instructions Excellent skills in maintenance issues such as re-decoration, electrics, basic plumbing and tiling Computer literacy Good verbal and written communication skills Own transport is essential
