Due to our ongoing growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Assistant/FLT to join our team in Whitburn.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Assistant/FLT Operator to join our team. This is a very varied role that combines internal maintenance tasks with forklift duties and seasonal external work. We may consider part time hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Forklift Operations:

Move pallets, empty skips, assist stores as required.

Waste Management:

Exchange plastic bisons daily; remove compressed cardboard and plastic bales monthly.

General Maintenance:

Carry out semi-skilled joinery and other maintenance tasks as needed.

Grounds Maintenance:

Seasonal duties including grass cutting, weed control, snow clearance, and gritting.

Housekeeping:

Maintain cleanliness and order across the site.

What We're Looking For:

Forklift Truck license (essential). Practical maintenance skills and willingness to learn. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexible approach to varied tasks and seasonal work, which can involve being outdoors.

No evening or weekend working - hours of work are Monday to Thursday 7am-4.15pm, with a 1.30pm finish every Friday!
