Job Description

You will synchronize the highest standards of general maintenance and repairs in the guest rooms, and public areas.

Responsible for the reactive and preventive maintenance of the Hotel , to ensure it remains a functional, pleasant and safe environment for all employees, guests and visitors

Responsible for all plant equipment, FF&E (fixed furniture and equipment), fabric of the building and external areas

Manage maintenance projects and work in accordance with Accor's quality requirements

Perform effective diagnosis of breakdowns and organise a timely repair of equipment

Perform scheduled planned preventative maintenance to minimise unplanned downtime of

equipment and rooms

Documents breakdowns, identifying root cause and bring remedial actions to help prevent recurring issues

Manage and implement improvement plans, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to

Undertake risk assessments of processes and tasks as needed and devise and implement safe systems of working to ensure the health and safety of staff, guests and visitors

You are the Health & Safety Officer for ibis Cardiff

Work with GM to elaborate maintenance budget and ensure compliance of our hotel

Manage contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements

Work Experience / Skills / Qualities

Strong technical skills, Mechanical, HVAC or Electrical experience, HVAC certification a plus. Refrigeration, Painting and plumbing will be required

Good written and verbal communication, organizational and problem-solving skills that will allow you to complete every task with the utmost professionalism.

Excellent working knowledge of Health and Safety and Fire Regulations

Ability to read & write risk assessments

Ability to use own initiative

Computer skills

Guest oriented, service minded and attention to detail

Excellent Presentation

Good planning and organizational skills Forward thinking and Innovative Autonomous Ability to conduct first level fault-finding
