A Maintenance Operative is required for our Nursing Home near Camberley

The ability to travel to the home is essential.

We are looking for a competent person and duties will include interior and exterior decorating, basic plumbing and electrical. Carpentry / woodwork skills - ie Hanging Doors.

The ability to carry out checks and repairs so that we keep our home pristine and also fulfill our statutory Health and Safety obligations.

You will be tidy, a quick thinker, a problem solver and methodical together with a very good understanding of health and safety. Your ability to provide accurate and clear records is important.

You will be working in a care home for a full day as your base for that days work. You will have your own car for your daily commute to work.

We require a you to be physically fit as the role involves some moving of furniture, up ladders, painting and decorating and hanging pictures. Mending leaks. You will have the ability to change taps and maintain TMVs. Replace like for like electrical s and cisterns etc

You will be organised and a finisher so the ability to plan and finish a project is essential. You will have the ability to respond to direction and multi task.

Own tools essential.

Own car essential.

Polo Top Uniform supplied.

A flexible approach to working hours will be required within your working week as you will need to respond to any emergency should they arise.

You may need to stay late to finish a job if we have a deadline

Your normal working week will be 5 days with a start time no earlier than 8am.
