Saltouns is a small, dynamic property team based in the heart of Edinburgh. We're passionate about delivering exceptional service to our landlords and tenants, and we're proud of the relationships we've built over the years. We're now looking for someone who's organised, proactive, and people-focused to join us in a hybrid role that blends property maintenance coordination with lettings support.

What You'll Be Doing



This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll be the friendly face and reliable point of contact for tenants, landlords, and contractors--making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Your responsibilities will include:

Coordinating maintenance requests and ensuring timely resolution of issues Communicating effectively with contractors, landlords, and tenants to facilitate smooth maintenance operations Managing schedules and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines and targets Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and completion statuses Inspecting completed work to ensure quality and compliance with standards Assisting in the procurement and management of contractor services Providing outstanding customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly Collaborating with other departments to streamline maintenance processes Staying updated on industry best practices and compliance regulations Offering general administrative support to the Property Management Team Carrying out viewings for all available properties Conducting scheduled property inspections to ensure upkeep and proactively address emerging issues Identifying maintenance or refurbishment needs, obtaining competitive quotes, and liaising with landlords to authorise and instruct works Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records within property management systems Facilitating smooth tenancy transitions by managing referencing checks for new tenants Managing and tracking key movements Handling incoming calls and directing them appropriately Responding to enquiries in person, via email, and over the phone Serving as the primary point of contact for both landlords and tenants, ensuring prompt communication and effective resolution of queries Organising and supervising property maintenance and repairs, coordinating with contractors to ensure high-quality completion of all works

Essential:



Strong verbal and written communication skills High level of customer service Previous experience in residential property management Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software Full driving licence

Desirable:



Knowledge of Scottish property law Industry qualifications (Propertymark / Letwell) Basic understanding of maintenance procedures
