Purpose: We are looking for a Maintenance Coordinator to join our Property and Construction department on 30,000 per annum at our Head Office in Market Harborough.
The Maintenance Coordinators responsibilities will include implementing preventative maintenance, organising reactive maintenance, liaising with contractors and service providers, recording and updating maintenance database, assessing procedures and evaluating area for improvement.
Ideal candidate: The desired candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, show initiative and have an ability to problem solve issues as and when they ,materialise. We are seeking someone who is motivated to improve standard and to be able to identify ways to improve current practises and methods.
Key activities:
Managing day to day maintenance requests,
Work closely with the Projects and Property Manager to draw up and execute the annual maintenance plan.
Communicate directly with service providers, vendors and maintenance contractors to schedule repairs, servicing, preventive maintenance and the projects required in order to keep the company's physical assets running smoothly.
Monitor mail boxes and weekly maintenance reporting to correctly assign jobs to contractors.
Deliver a high level of customer service to our stores and keep store, office and contractor teams updated on tasks scheduled.
Assist with monitoring the maintenance budgets and processing invoice payments for maintenance services.
Provide a variety of administrative assistance to the Project Managers.
Personal characteristics:
To be educated to GCSE/ A Level equivalent and/ or to have worked at this level.
Previous experience of working in an administrative role ideally in a property/ building maintenance setting.
Ability to work effectively on own initiative or as part of a team.
Be able to manage and deal with conflicting issues/ demands
Highly self motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to take a flexible approach to resolving work related matters.
Effective organisational skills both written and verbal.
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary to develop key working relationships as required by the role.
Process strong IT skills including Microsoft Word Package (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Full UK driving licence would be preferable
Salary/Pay: 30,000
