Summary

We are seeking a Maintenance Person to join our team at Best Western Ebbw Vale. This role is vital in maintaining the quality and safety of our hotel facilities, contributing directly to our mission of guest satisfaction and comfort.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and maintenance of hotel facilities to ensure safety and functionality. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues promptly. Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams. Operate and maintain programmable logic controllers as needed. Conduct welding or other repair tasks requiring specialized skills. Supervise maintenance activities when required, providing guidance to junior staff. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and hotel policies. Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance processes.

Qualifications

Proven experience in electrical, mechanical, or general maintenance roles. Strong knowledge of schematics, PLCs, welding, and electrical systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Leadership or supervising experience is a plus. Good communication skills in English. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Pay: 12.30-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week

Work Location: In person
