Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Electrician to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems. This role involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining electrical infrastructure across our facilities, with a strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and preventative care.

Key Responsibilities

Routine Maintenance: Inspect and maintain electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and appliances to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshooting: Diagnose faults and malfunctions using testing devices such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and oscilloscopes. Installation: Install new electrical equipment and systems based on blueprints and technical diagrams. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes and safety standards. Repairs: Repair or replace faulty wiring, fixtures, and appliances. Planning: Assist in planning layouts for electrical wiring and systems during renovations or upgrades. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities. Team Collaboration: Work with other maintenance staff and contractors to coordinate electrical work and support broader facility operations.

Requirements

Qualifications

Electrician qualification certificate (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds) Proven experience in industrial or commercial electrical maintenance Strong understanding of electrical schematics and blueprints Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) or relevant local standards Good communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) Basic knowledge of mechanical systems
