CPL's Immingham production facility produces 200,000 tonnes per annum of smokeless solid fuels for domestic, industrial and specialist heating applications.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for electrical fault finding, maintenance, installation and improvements of continuous industrial process equipment. You will ensure job sheets, test sheets and time sheets are completed as well as being compliant with site safety instructions and control procedures at all times.
Key Accountabilities
Good fault finding skills, especially under pressure, enabling prompt resolution to technical and process problems.
Good housekeeping, working in a tidy fashion and safe manner ensuring the area is cleared of any engineering materials and waste during and upon completion of work tasks.
Carry out proactive actions providing support and repair to ensure all maintenance and engineering actions are completed in a timely manner with minimal impact to production
Computer literate with effective communication skills with people at all levels both verbally and written.
Good knowledge of current electrical standards and working practices applied to an industrial environment.
Knowledge of maintenance of electronic drive control equipment, testing/inspecting low voltage electrical installations.
Provide support to other departments especially instrumentation/ control. Some mechanical support will be required.
Support a positive can do attitude that inspires and motivates team members
Key Attributes
You should have a recognised and validated engineering qualification to NVQ 3 or equivalent, with a City & Guilds 2365 Level 3 electrical qualification, 18th Edition, knowledge and an appreciation of instrumentation and control would be an advantage. Experience on switchgear, and inverter control would be advantageous.
Please note you will be expected to work one weekend per month which is included within the salary. Overtime during evenings and additional weekends may also be required.
