We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our manufacturing equipment and facilities. The Maintenance Engineer will play a key part in maintaining safety standards, improving operational efficiency, and supervising maintenance activities. Duties
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimise downtime.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and automation issues promptly to ensure continuous production.
Program, modify, and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimise system performance.
Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings for maintenance tasks.
Perform welding repairs and other mechanical repairs as required to maintain equipment integrity.
Lead maintenance teams during scheduled repairs or emergency interventions, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and future reference.
Collaborate with production teams to minimise disruption during maintenance activities while maximising efficiency.
Supervise maintenance assistants, providing guidance and training where necessary.
Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations and company policies.
Skills
Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) programming and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
Extensive electrical experience within industrial environments.
Mechanical knowledge related to machinery repair and maintenance.
Proven experience in plant or facility maintenance management.
Excellent command of English for clear communication across teams.
Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
Customer service skills to liaise with internal stakeholders professionally.
