An opportunity has arisen to work within the Engineering Department of a well-established manufacturing company. Grangers International Ltd, based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire and established in 1937, is the owner of market-leading aftercare brands; Grangers, Fabsil and Cherry Blossom.
THE ROLE:
Reporting into the Senior Maintenance Engineer, the individual will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving plant machinery and equipment to ensure maximum uptime, efficiency, and safe operation.
Full-time Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4pm
Based at Grangers Head Offices in Duckmanton, Chesterfield.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
Respond to breakdowns and carry out corrective maintenance as required.
Work closely with the production team to optimise machine performance.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades.
Ensure all maintenance work is completed in compliance with health and safety standards.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete documentation.
Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment when required.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing or production environment
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
Knowledge of PLCs, conveyors, and pneumatic systems is advantageous.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective communication skills and a team-focused approach
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent), desirable
Electrical or mechanical engineering background
