Organisational Relationships
Reports to: Maintenance Team Leader
Works with: All internal functions, ZF Group contacts, F-Solihull, Suppliers, Contractors.
Responsible for: All Maintenance and related personnel in area of responsibility.
Main Responsibilities & Desired Outcomes
The job role is for a double-day shift pattern.
Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards & all other Company policies and procedures.
Responding to Breakdowns with Extensive fault finding (both electrical and mechanical)
Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance of our CNC machinery and assembly equipment.
Carry out servicing work, including the completion of service reports and internal systems via our CMMS system.
Co-operate and support all maintenance activities to meet the overall department objectives.
Contribute to a positive 5S policy to the agreed standards.
The ability to work within a team environment based on openness, mutual respect, and collaborative working.
Support the TPM/PPM follow-up activities to ensure timely close out.
Use SAP or other IT tools to document activities.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential - Time served apprentice in a relevant discipline (electrical/mechanical/mechatronics)
Ideally trained to a HNC qualification (will look at less with suitable experience)
Essential - Bias in either mechanical or electrical but with a proven ability to work in both fields
CNC knowledge is a high priority, PLC experience is advantageous.
IT skills required. MS Office, email, rest of IT requirements can be supported.
Kuka Robotics experience an advantage, other robot experience also okay
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTES
Time served background in a maintenance/engineering discipline.
Ability to communicate with clarity, both verbally and in written form
Microsoft Office tools.
Good understanding of customer expectations and deliverables with an awareness of the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.
Practical hands-on approach to problem solving.
Engages interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach to working together.
High levels of motivation and action orientated.
Embraces personal challenges.
The ability and willingness to support apprentice learning and development.
