Job Overview

We are seeking a Part Time highly skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the refurbishment and maintenance of our hire equipment and facilities. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead maintenance activities effectively. The Maintenance Engineer will play a vital part in maintaining safety standards, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure efficient operation. Diagnose faults using schematics, electrical diagrams, and implementing effective repair solutions. Perform repairs involving welding, electrical work, mechanical adjustments, and component replacements. Stripping and respraying of existing used equipment Develop and update maintenance procedures and documentation to adhere to safety and quality standards. Maintain a clean, organised work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations. Occasional Travel to Customer Sites to assist or carry out repairs

Requirements

At least 5 Years proven experience in maintenance engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment. A background in Crane, Plant, Forklift or materials handling equipment would be an advantage . Full UK Driving Licence Crane and Forklift Licence would be an advantage . Demonstrable electrical experience combined with mechanical knowledge is essential. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure. Proficiency in reading technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals in English. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality standards. Good communication skills in English to liaise effectively with team members and other departments. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Hours - Monday - Wednesday 08.00 - 15.30
