Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to maintain and troubleshoot various equipment. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, contributing to overall efficiency and productivity.

Duties

Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including logic controllers and schematics. Utilise AutoCAD for creating and modifying technical drawings as needed. Conduct inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate into significant problems. Collaborate with other departments to provide excellent customer service regarding maintenance requests. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Provide training and support to junior staff as necessary.

Experience

Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role or similar position. Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge is essential for this role. Familiarity with AutoCAD and the ability to read and interpret schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges. Demonstrated customer service skills, with an ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organisation. A relevant qualification in engineering or a related field would be advantageous.
