We've created a brand new role in our small but mighty maintenance team and are looking for the right person to fill it. Could this be you?

What you'll be doing

Working in our little gem of a factory nestled in Chapel (dubbed the 'Capital of the Peak ' District), you'll play a vital hands-on practical role in keeping our manufacturing machinery running smoothly and site facilities in good shape. With an emphasis on mechanical engineering including metal welding/fabrication, you'll be carrying out planned and preventative maintenance, diagnosing and solving problems, performing repairs and replacing parts. You'll also be understanding and interpreting drawings (sketch/2D/3D) and capturing maintenance activity on our computerised maintenance management system.

What we're looking for

Proven mechanical engineering or similar background /experience. Level 2 and/or Level 3 mechanical engineering qualification or similar would be desirable but not essential. A safety-first mindset - We all want to make sure each and every colleague goes home safe every day. Working knowledge of electrical safety procedures, especially around safe isolation and lock-off. A methodical and never-give-up problem-solver. A thorough and attention to detail approach to working. Flexibility to adapt and meet changing needs and priorities. Willingness to learn and attend training events/courses. A confident communicator for engaging and collaborating with your colleagues. Confidence using digital tools - You'll be form-filling and using our maintenance management system using a computer or hand-held device, so you'll need to be just as confident using a touch-screen are you are a wrench.
