Core Responsibilities



HS&E



Ensure Operational H&S statutory compliance is always maintained and is the No 1 priority.

All unsafe practices are to be identified, managed, and reported to the engineering supervisor.

Manage site environmental aspects & Impacts (effluent, lighting, workplace conditions etc.).

Identify risks and follow up with corrective actions

Operational



Follow preventative maintenance program for the plant and equipment.

Oversee Building and Site Maintenance Programme. *

Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance and breakdown repairs.

The coordination of all contractors when required and ensure contractor control process is followed through safety permits and evaluations.

Oversee the Statutory and Mandatory Inspections Programme. *

Support Engineering and onsite projects.

Contribute to the efficient running of operations with engineering solutions and recommendations.

The analysing of effective repairs & maintenance spending. *

Assist in ordering spares and update/manage inventory sheet*

Development of maintenance procedures.

Provide advice and assistance to the operations team on issues relating to maintenance.

Assist in preparing sites when required for external and regulatory audits.

Issue permits to work, oversee contractor RAMS and Method Statements.

Out of office hours Engineering support framework.

Identify, develop, and implement improvements to existing site installations. *

Internally gives training, related to maintenance activities, selects and/or coordinates external training for maintenance colleagues.

Awareness of costings and budgets.

People



Motivate, engage, mentor and coach a small team of maintenance operatives.

Oversee maintenance activities ensuring all work is carried out safely and to the highest engineering standards.

Challenge the norm to enable the delivery of effective value-adding processes.

Deliver a consistent approach to discipline and site rules.

Identify statutory and developmental training requirements.

Always demonstrate company values and behaviors.

Skills & Experience (Desirable)



H&S knowledge & experience (IOSH qualified).

CI Training. Green Belt qualified.

Fault Finding and problem solving.

A high level of computer skills in Word, Excel, etc.

Project Planning experience.

Knowledge of HR policies and the laws relating to the employment of people.

Must be able to work at heights and confined spaces.

Qualifications (Essential)



HNC or equivalent Electrical Engineering.

City & Guilds BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

City & Guilds 2391 Test and Inspect Electrical Qualification or equivalent.

H&S/Food safety systems and legislation. Including Machinery Guarding (IOSH).

A good level of computer skills in Word, Excel, etc.

HACCP Level 2

Experience with maintenance software programs.

Electrical biased with mechanical/Pneumatic knowledge

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 36,000.00-40,000.00 per year
