The Role
We are looking for an experienced Food Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team. This role offers flexibility, with both full-time and part-time hours available, as well as opportunities to provide engineering shift cover for clients when required.
You'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing machinery across food production sites, ensuring equipment runs efficiently and meets safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out planned preventive maintenance on food manufacturing machinery.
Responding promptly to breakdowns and completing fault-finding and repairs.
Providing engineering shift cover as needed to support client operations.
Installing and commissioning machinery when required.
Maintaining accurate service and maintenance records.
Working in line with health and safety and food hygiene regulations.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within the food manufacturing industry (or similar fast-paced production environment).
Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems.
Familiarity with leading machinery brands such as Marel, Multivac, Sealpac, Curio, Baader, etc. (advantageous).
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing site requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and flexible approach.
Level 3 NVQ in a maintenance related subject.
Food safety level 3 advantageous.
