Maintenance Engineer

based in

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Engineer role is to ensure the continuous operation of plant and equipment, including moulding and assembly machinery, through day-to-day maintenance activities. This role supports the production department by driving efficiency and improvement in collaboration with other departments, suppliers, and internal personnel, while adhering to Aptar Core Values. The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for identifying problems and assisting in the implementation of long-term solutions, demonstrating flexibility to meet the business's needs


As a Maintenance Engineer You Will



Diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical faults that occur on plant and/or equipment. Assist with the maintenance program (TPM) for all plant and/or equipment.(hydraulics, robots, ancillary machines automatic assembly) Validate new plant, equipment, automation and upgrades. Process / Equipment troubleshooting and failure analysis Ensure all items of plant and/or equipment is in good safe working order. Build and maintain items and documentation within the maintenance department, necessary for the effective running of the plant and/or equipment. Deliver innovative technical solutions to the plant. Strive to improve the efficiency and safety of plant and equipment. Identify opportunities for new technology/automation. Maintain a high standard of record keeping for all repairs and servicing of plant and/or equipment as required for audit, traceability and warranty purposes, in accordance with the Quality Management System.

Who We are Looking For





We are looking for an ideal candidate who is proactive and skilled in maintaining plant and equipment, including moulding and assembly machinery, to ensure seamless production operations. The candidate should excel in diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults, as well as assisting with the maintenance program for various machinery. They must demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and contribute to the implementation of long-term solutions. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as the role requires adjusting to the business's evolving needs. The ideal candidate will embody Aptar Core Values, collaborate effectively with other departments, and maintain high standards of record-keeping and safety. Additionally, they should be demonstrate ability to make decision based on data.




Education




Apprenticeship qualified City & Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering Mechatronics qualification

Required Skills


Ability to work alone with minimal direct supervision Good communication skills, verbal and written Strong mechanical aptitude
Preferred Skills


Experience in Injection Molding, tooling and with multi-cavity molds The applicant ideally would have experience in a manufacturing environment and have the ability to work in a high pressure site.
