A market-leading UK manufacturer, with its main office and factory based in Leigh, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the team at a brand-new site opening in Risley, Warrington.

As the company continues to grow, it is looking to expand its dedicated team. The role will be based at a brand-new facility, equipped with state-of-the-art machinery specifically designed for the production of triple glazed units.
The Role
This is a hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance position within a high-volume manufacturing environment. As a key member of the Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting automated glass processing equipment both proactively with maintenance schedules and reactively responding to time sensitive breakdowns. You'll ensure compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory checks and inspections, and carry out other duties as reasonably requested by Senior Management or Directors.
To Succeed
The successful candidate will adopt a proactive approach to their work, demonstrating strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities. A solid understanding of automated production machinery is essential, along with proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. You should be committed to actively contributing to the ongoing improvement of production processes. This involves close collaboration with both the Production and Quality teams to identify ways to increase efficiency, minimise downtime, and improve product quality through joint problem-solving and process optimisation.
Adaptability is essential, with the ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be comfortable working independently when required, but also thrive as part of a small, collaborative team.
Key Skills & Experience
Completed a recognised apprenticeship with a minimum ONC or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
Proven post-apprenticeship experience in an industrial environment
Skilled in the maintenance and troubleshooting of automated machinery
Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Ability to carry out electrical and mechanical repairs
Able to think creatively and troubleshoot effectively under pressure
Technologically competent to enable use of the CMMS and other software systems, MS Office etc.
Capable of working under your own initiative and managing priorities effectively
In addition, you must be able to:
