We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineer to join our team. The Engineer will maintain and optimize production equipment, ensuring quality and adhering to safety standards. This role is part time. The Engineer is required to work from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. 3 days per week (22.5 hours per week). Additional hours will be required from time to time in order to cover annual leave.

Actual days of work to be agreed during the recruitment process. In order for your application to be successful you must have experience of working in a food manufacturing environment and hold a full driving license.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:



Attend breakdowns, conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on production machinery. Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement timely repairs to minimise downtime. Maintain detailed records of maintenance and equipment performance. Collaborate with all departments to ensure the smooth operation of production processes. Identify and implement process enhancements that increase efficiency and reduce waste. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and industry standards. Build strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers, contractors and stake holders. Work collaboratively with all colleagues, including Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Production, NPD, Logistics, Finance, People and Technical teams. Undertake all appropriate training and skills development as necessary to be successful in your role.

Key Skills and Competencies:



Minimum 2 years' experience in an engineering role within a food manufacturing environment. Full Driving License Excellent verbal and listening skills. Attention to detail. Curious with a growth mindset and flexible approach. Effective problem-solving skills, using judgement and initiative. Able to manage multiple deadlines and remain calm and effective under pressure. Collaborative and inclusive approach to colleagues across the business. Growth mindset, with a continuous improvement approach. Open and honest with high standards of personal integrity.
