We specialise in processing recyclable materials using advanced technologies such as granulators and shredders to contribute to a cleaner and greener planet. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the efficient operation of our equipment.

Position Overview:


As a Maintenance Technician at our recycling site, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our machinery, including granulators and shredders. You will be responsible for conducting routine inspections, diagnosing issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring that all equipment operates at optimal levels. The ideal candidate will have experience working with industrial machinery and possess the ability to change blades on granulators and shredders as needed.

Responsibilities:



Perform regular inspections of machinery to identify any potential issues or signs of wear and tear. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems and develop effective solutions to address them. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks according to the maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Replace blades on granulators and shredders as necessary, ensuring proper installation and alignment. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and make necessary repairs in a timely manner to minimize production interruptions. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections. Collaborate with other team members to optimize equipment performance and ensure safety standards are met. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment as needed. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to create a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Qualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant vocational training is preferred. Proven experience working with industrial machinery, preferably in a recycling or manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. Experience changing blades on granulators and shredders is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance calls when necessary.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 27,892.55-45,946.27 per year
