The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for investigating, diagnosing, and rectifying faults across a range of mechanical systems and equipment. The candidate will possess strong hands-on skills in mechanical disciplines, including welding, fitting, dismantling, and rebuilding.
This role involves providing effective engineering support across all areas of the site, including a rapidly growing PPM system. The engineer will take an active role in site projects and continuous improvement initiatives, becoming an integral member of a proactive team operating on a 24/7 rotational basis, including call-outs and overtime.
Essential Experience and Qualifications
Minimum qualification of ONC/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
At least 5 years' experience within a maintenance department
Proven experience with PPM systems and ordering of components
Working knowledge of LOLER, PSSR, and PUWER legislation
Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Word and Excel
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Experience with steam and boiler systems
Knowledge of Siemens PCS or other PLC systems
Additional electrical qualifications
Experience with calibration procedures
Knowledge of critical spares and stock management
