We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning and safety of our manufacturing equipment and facilities. Duties
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimise downtime.
Diagnose faults using schematics, electrical diagrams, and PLC programmes, implementing effective repair solutions.
Perform welding and mechanical repairs as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Oversee the installation of new equipment and upgrades, ensuring all systems operate efficiently post-installation.
Lead and supervise maintenance teams, providing guidance and training to ensure high standards of work.
Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance purposes.
Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all staff.
Qualifications
Proven experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
Skilled in welding techniques and mechanical repairs.
Demonstrable electrical experience with an understanding of circuit diagrams and troubleshooting methods.
Leadership experience in supervising or managing maintenance teams is highly desirable.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Customer service orientation with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. This position requires a proactive approach to maintenance management, technical expertise, and leadership capabilities to ensure operational excellence within our organisation.
