Job Title - Maintenance Engineer With Electrical Bias
Reporting to - Maintenance Facilities Supervisor
Purpose of Role
Working as part of the maintenance and facilities team, ensuring that plant, equipment and facilities on site are maintained and are running correctly and safety.
Ensure that all work carried out in a professional and safe manner and in accordance with current regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure Health & Safety is adhered and a high priority in the work areas
Electrical and Mechanical maintenance and repair of plant, equipment and facilities on site.
Installation and replacement of equipment.
Electrical and Mechanical fault finding on plant
Machine and plant installation, replacement and repair ranging from high value projects to smaller improvement projects.
Perform planned, preventative maintenance tasks to the prescribed schedule
Assist with maintenance site facilities ranging from infrastructure, communal facilities to include WC's, drainage and groundworks.
Perform all reasonable request made by management
Key Requirements
Ideally City & Guilds/NVQ Maintenance or similar discipline qualified.
Time served apprenticeship or demonstrable equivalent experience.
Electrical/Mechanical experience in manufacturing machines, involving plc controllers, hydraulics and pneumatics, fault finding and repair.
PLC fault diagnosis, (Omron, Rockwell, Mitsubishi desirable)
Positive, problem-solving attitude and willing to learn new skills.
Be able to contribute to and work within a small team, whilst still able to work on own initiative.
To be flexible with working hours to support planned repairs and unplanned breakdowns
You may be required on occasion to perform Ad hoc responsibilities to support business needs
Resourceful and able adapt to changing priorities and maintain a positive attitude and possess a strong work ethic

Experience and knowledge of lean engineering principles and techniques
18th Edition - Level 3 Electrical Installations Award - BS7671:2018
Omron PLC experience and knowledge.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace or automotive, particularly hot, and cold forming presses or process control, chemical.
Experience working with and supervising external contractors
