Gower View Foods, a respected and growing dairy manufacturer, is seeking a reliable and proactive

Maintenance & Facilities Operative

to help ensure our site runs safely, smoothly, and efficiently. This varied role is ideal for someone hands-on who enjoys practical work, problem-solving, and supporting day-to-day site operations.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine maintenance and basic repairs on site buildings, utilities, and equipment. Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities and assist with reactive maintenance tasks as needed. Ensure all facilities--including plant rooms, storage areas, and welfare facilities--are maintained to a high standard. Monitor and oversee site effluent and waste systems, ensuring correct operation, early escalation of issues, and compliance with environmental requirements. Assist with contractor coordination, site checks, and general facilities management duties. Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation. Work collaboratively with Production, Quality, and Health & Safety teams to uphold a safe and efficient working environment.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or a similar practical role. Basic mechanical or electrical understanding is beneficial, but training can be provided. A proactive, safety-focused mindset with strong attention to detail. Good problem-solving abilities and a willingness to learn. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
