We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor green spaces, ensuring they are healthy, attractive, and well-kept.
Responsibilities
Planting, pruning, watering, and fertilising plants to promote healthy growth
Maintaining lawns, flower beds, shrubs, and trees through regular care and trimming
Operating hand tools such as secateurs, spades, and rakes for precise gardening tasks
Using power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers for larger maintenance jobs
Monitoring plant health and identifying pests or diseases for prompt treatment
Assisting with landscape design projects by preparing soil and planting new greenery
Ensuring all outdoor areas are clean, tidy, and safe for visitors or residents
Adhering to health and safety regulations during all gardening activities
Skills
Proven experience in gardening or horticulture with a strong growing background
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape maintenance techniques
Ability to identify different plant species and understand their specific care requirements
Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan daily tasks efficiently
Good physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
Attention to detail to ensure high standards of garden presentation
Enthusiasm for gardening with a genuine interest in landscape aesthetics
