Requirements-

-Level 3 NVQ

-Domestic ACS qualifications

-Must own hand tools

-Good electrical knowledge

-Good maintenance experience (heating systems)

-Must be able to diagnose domestic heating issues including boilers, s plan systems and y plan systems.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Plumber/Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in gas installations, maintenance, and repairs. As a Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of gas systems in residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will contribute to delivering high-quality service while adhering to industry regulations.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in compliance with safety standards. Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure they meet regulatory requirements. Assemble and fit components using hand tools and power tools. Perform plumbing tasks as required, ensuring all connections are secure and leak-free. Carry out heavy lifting as necessary for the installation and removal of equipment. Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during installations. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to complete projects efficiently. Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any issues to management.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot gas systems effectively. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required. A valid commercial driving licence is an advantage for transportation of equipment. Familiarity with welding techniques is beneficial but not essential. Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations are required. Relevant qualifications or certifications in gas engineering are essential.
