Job Summary

We are seeking a versatile and experienced Handy Man to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving various facilities and equipment. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills, leadership qualities, and excellent customer service abilities. The Handy Man will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our premises through effective maintenance and troubleshooting.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems Repair and replace faulty components using welding, electrical skills, and mechanical knowledge Interpret schematics and programme logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot complex issues Supervise maintenance activities and oversee junior staff or contractors as needed Ensure all work complies with safety standards and organisational policies Assist with the installation of new equipment or systems, including wiring and mechanical assembly Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities Provide excellent customer service by addressing facility-related concerns promptly and professionally

Experience

Proven experience in maintenance, repair, or related roles within a facilities management environment Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, welding techniques, electrical systems, and mechanical components Demonstrated ability to lead or supervise teams effectively Experience in troubleshooting complex technical issues using electrical and mechanical expertise Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal Previous experience in customer service roles is advantageous but not essential Leadership experience with the ability to organise tasks efficiently and supervise others effectively

Pay: 12.56-13.00 per hour
