Duties
Conduct general maintenance and repair tasks as well as refurbishment tasks
Perform electrical repairs and installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Execute plumbing tasks, including fixing leaks and installing fixtures.
Weld and fabricate metal components as needed for repairs.
Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients and management about their needs and the work being performed.
Supervise and lead small teams when necessary, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to timelines.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any malfunctions or required repairs.
Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by diagnosing issues with appliances, machinery, or systems.
Ability to help other departments when needed
Qualifications
Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with clients and team members.
Previous experience in a maintenance person or maintenance role is highly desirable.
Strong electrical skills, including knowledge of wiring systems.
Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
Mechanical knowledge with the capability to perform repairs on various systems.
Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
Leadership qualities that enable effective supervision of tasks when required.
A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and maintaining high standards of work.
