Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Handyperson to join our Engineering team based in Nottingham.

Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader you will be responsible for carrying out building and maintenance works across our two factories.

Responsibilities

Carry out reactive and planed maintenance tasks and respond promptly to maintenance issues and emergencies. Perform general repairs including basic plumbing, joinery, tiling, paving, brickwork, drainage, painting and decorating. Install and repair fixtures such as shelves, blinds, cabinets, flooring, taps and toilets and perform basic window repairs, gutter cleaning and minor fencing work. Work closely with the Management Teams to prioritise and schedule maintenance activities. Maintain accurate documentation and records of all maintenance tasks and safety checks. To identify and report potential health and safety risks or defects.

Essential Skills and Experience

Ideally relevant certifications in plumbing, electrical work or health and safety (desirable but not essential) Competent in the use of tools and maintenance equipment. Able to work independently. Good working knowledge of property health and safety and building compliance. A Valid Clean Driving Licence essential. Physically fit and capable of lifting, carrying and working at heights or in tight spaces. Takes pride in their work, possessed a proactive attitude and has a good attention to detail. Excellent time management skills and able to manage priorities effectively.
