All our orders, products, and machines are bespoke, and therefore it's critical that the person applying for this role is adaptable under pressure and is able to plan, make decisions and adapt to constant change whilst keeping the team driven and motivated.

Our Maintenance Lead must be able to demonstrate the following skills:-



Excellent communication and IT skills.

Be flexible regarding hours work and tasks to be completed where necessary.

Forward thinking and innovative, with a positive can-do attitude.

Lead, support, and mentor the team, ensuring they are working in a safe and efficient manner. Work with the production and maintenance teams to harness the technical expertise available and build solutions. Ensure sufficient technical cover is available for the production shifts by organising and directing the training program for the team.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Significant practical engineering experience, including a supervisory role managing people.

Multi-skilled in electrical, pneumatic and mechanical disciplines, preferably in fenestration and CNC machinery.

Adapt and maintain our PPM schedule, including managing asset care paperwork and start up sheets.

Work with our continuous improvement team to reduce machine fails and downtime, quality fails and reduce our cost of non-conformance.

Ensure a high level of equipment/machine availability through PPM and servicing.

As well as the above, the Maintenance Lead will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance engineers and checking they are performing against their duties below.



Main Duties:-



Assist with emergency and unplanned issues & repairs, helping to diagnose breakdown issues including the use of electrical/pneumatic drawings Ensure PPM and asset care checks are carried out within the agreed time schedules

Ensure you are following the correct procedures in relation to maintenance work carried out Build good working relationships with the production team and communicate effectively in relation to maintenance plans/updates on machinery & general updates Ensure that we maintain the correct paperwork records for machine issues so that we can track/ record and evaluate problems, e.g., non-performance of external engineers Participate in training as and when required and recommend training for you and your team Participate in updating and introducing safe systems of work for relevant operations Ensure the maintenance stores/office is kept to an exceptional housekeeping standard Help identify opportunities for improvement in the equipment maintainability and reliability Contribute to the discussions/plans for the purchase of new equipment as and when required Liaise with external engineers in relation to machine breakdowns/third party servicing

Competencies Required include:



Previous experience of working within a maintenance role in a manufacturing environment

Understanding of electrical/pneumatic drawings - desirable

Ability to learn and retain information

Ability to lead, manage and motivate a team

Determination and resourcefulness

Flexibility as required

Helps to eliminate unnecessary cost appropriate to the role

Lead by example with Health & Safety Complete all work to the highest of standards Professional qualification in mechanical or electronics/electrical engineering essential
Flexibility will be required on occasions due to the nature of the role, with some out of hours and weekend work required to meet planned maintenance work scheduled outside production hours.

Experience: Maintenance: 5 years (essential)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 45,000.00-50,000.00 per year
