We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment. Duties
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and facilities to minimise downtime.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems using schematics and technical manuals.
Operate and programme programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimise equipment performance.
Perform welding tasks as required to repair or fabricate components.
Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals accurately.
Supervise junior maintenance staff or contractors during repair or installation projects.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Assist in training team members on new procedures or equipment operation where necessary.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
Proven experience in maintenance roles with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and electrical components.
Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and ability to programme or troubleshoot them effectively.
Skilled in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Competent in welding techniques with relevant certification preferred.
Electrical experience including wiring, circuit testing, and component replacement.
Mechanical knowledge related to machinery repair, installation, and maintenance.
Demonstrated leadership or supervising experience within a maintenance team or similar environment.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
