Maintenance Officer

to join our friendly team and help us provide a high-quality living experience for our residents.

About the Role

As our Maintenance Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the home is well-maintained, safe, and fully operational. You'll carry out day-to-day repairs, routine checks, and preventative maintenance around the home, working closely with the management team to resolve issues promptly and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance duties including basic plumbing, joinery, painting, and minor electrical work. Conduct regular safety checks and recordkeeping in line with regulatory requirements (fire safety, water testing, equipment checks). Respond promptly to maintenance requests submitted by staff or management. Maintain outdoor areas, including gardens, pathways, and car parks. Coordinate with external contractors when specialist work is required. Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed safely and in compliance with health and safety standards. Help create a comfortable, clean, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

About You

Previous experience in a maintenance or caretaking role, ideally within a care home or similar setting. Good practical skills and the ability to carry out a wide range of repairs. A strong understanding of health & safety regulations. Reliable, organised, and able to work independently. Friendly, approachable, and comfortable working in a care environment. A genuine desire to contribute to the wellbeing of our residents.
