An online maintenance technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment within Operations. Their responsibilities involve a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and adherence to safety protocols to maintain production efficiency and prevent downtime.




Routine Maintenance and Inspections




o Conduct regular inspections of manufacturing equipment to identify and address potential issues before they lead to breakdowns.

o Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and parts replacement according to scheduled maintenance plans.

Troubleshooting and Repair




o Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues in machinery and equipment.

o Execute timely repairs to minimise production disruptions and ensure continuous operation.

Monitoring and Diagnostics




o Utilise diagnostic tools and software to monitor equipment performance and detect anomalies.

o Implement predictive maintenance techniques to foresee and prevent equipment failures.

Documentation and Reporting




o Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.

o Report equipment status and any issues encountered to supervisors and other relevant personnel.

Collaboration and Communication




o Work closely with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities and minimise impact on production schedules.

o Communicate effectively with engineers and other technicians to discuss technical issues and collaborate on solutions.

Compliance and Safety




o Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

o Ensure that maintenance activities comply with industry standards and company policies.

Continuous Improvement




o Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated on new technologies and maintenance practices.

o Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
