Up to 27,000 per annum

Work Days & Hours:

37.5 hours, Monday to Saturday, 9am-5.30pm (with a day off in the week)

About the Role




We are looking for a dedicated and hard-working Maintenance Operative to join our team. With a strong focus on customer and owner satisfaction, you will be responsible for responding promptly and effectively to a range of issues that may arise during a guest's stay at one of our properties.


As the primary point of contact for all hands-on matters, you'll work closely with both guests and property owners to swiftly address and resolve issues, including property repairs, routine maintenance, and occasional emergencies.




Your Responsibilities




As Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for the following areas of accountability:




Respond promptly to guest complaints and maintenance issues, ensuring satisfactory resolutions Complete daily assigned tasks and record all work via the company's KEA system Liaise with contractors when specialist repairs are needed Conduct and record regular property inspections and maintenance checks Communicate effectively with guests and property owners, both by phone and in person Adjust heating and hot water systems according to seasonal needs Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and company policies Maintain and check the company vehicle, keeping it stocked and reporting any issues Support winter improvement projects such as decorating and general maintenance Assist with property quality checks alongside QA team Submit business expenses via the Concur system promptly Arrange refuse collections as needed





Skills and Qualifications




A full, clean driving license is essential as part of this role, as well passionate maintenance skills people, team players and enthusiastic individuals with excellent work ethics.



Whilst experience in a similar role is advantageous, we will provide everything you need to succeed, training you up within our bustling team and supporting you every step of the way!




All we ask if you have the following:




Knowledge of general maintenance and trade skills to a high standard Will have one or more of the following Trade skills: Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrician, Gas Engineer, Plasterer or painter and decorator Ability to react quickly and effectively to emergency situations within remit Ability to problem solve Good communication skills to be able to liaise effectively with both owners and guests Full clean driving license Good IT skills

Although standouts will also have:




Professional Trade qualifications Experience and an understanding of building systems e.g. boilers, security and fire alarms Good knowledge of the local area Holiday let/hospitality industry experience in a similar Role Knowledge of Health & Safety responsibilities for holiday letting Good customer service standards
