Strathmore Estates is seeking a capable and motivated Maintenance Operative to join its established team, based on the historic Glamis Estate in Angus. This is a key operational role involving a broad range of repair and maintenance duties across the estate's diverse property portfolio, including residential homes, commercial buildings, farms, and estate infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across all areas of the estate
Undertake basic joinery, minor plumbing, property upkeep, and grounds-related work
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and complies with health and safety requirements
Operate estate vehicles and tools responsibly
Respond promptly to property maintenance requests and carry out scheduled work efficiently
Candidate Requirements:
Physically able and willing to undertake manual work across varying terrain and conditions
Prioritise work on own initiative
Have good problem-solving skills and logical thinking
Demonstrated experience in general maintenance, a specific trade, or estate work is desirable
Full, clean UK driving licence (essential)
Self-motivated with a practical and flexible approach to varied tasks
Practical work or own initiative
Problem-solving, logical thinking
