The Arley Estate:
Arley House, The Grange Hotel and 65 tenanted properties sit within a prestigious 1,600-acre estate in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside at Upper Arley on the banks of the River Severn between Bewdley & Bridgnorth.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced multiskilled property Maintenance Operative who can work independently and as part of a team, carrying out a wide range of reactive and planned repairs tasks across all our properties and the wider Arley Estate.
This physically demanding role requires you to work indoors and outdoors year-round in all weather conditions and be part of an on call rota for the Estate.
What we are looking for:
Experience in plumbing to include soldering of pipe work.
Basic understanding of electrics.
Someone who has experience with kitchen and bathroom installations.
Someone who can decorate, plaster & tile to a quality standard as a minimum requirement.
Someone who takes pride in their work and ensures tasks are completed promptly to a high standard.
Someone who can identify potential risks and put forward solutions.
A proactive self-starter.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Someone who is flexible and can be part of out of hours service on a rota basis.
A team player, someone who will support other teams across the wider estate with the upkeep of our green areas as and when needed.
A strong understanding of health & safety requirements.
A full UK driving licence.
Experience/Qualifications:
Appropriate relevant technical qualification or the ability to demonstrate high quality skills in plumbing, electrics and general maintenance.
Experience of working from height including towers, scaffold and access platforms.
Dealing with public/residents in working day.
Good general technical knowledge of construction.
