Job Description

We're seeking a proactive, skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team. You'll be responsible for upkeep, repairs, and preventative maintenance of our company's buildings across the UK. Your key responsibilities will include:

Carrying out general building maintenance--including repairs, inspections, electrical and roofing work--as required Operating cherry picker equipment safely (IPAF licence mandatory) Dealing with external contractors where necessary Following safe systems of work in line with CDM Regulations Maintaining accurate maintenance logs and records

Schedule

40 hours per week - rota'd shifts between Monday and Friday, 08:00 to 17:30

Essential Requirements:

Strong practical skills in electrical or roofing trades (or both) Experience operating cherry pickers and a valid IPAF licence Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to multiple sites Based in Newport or within a 45-minute drive radius Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

Desirable Qualifications:

SMSTS certification NEBOSH health and safety qualification IOSH certification Own set of trade tools (we can also supply tools if needed)
