Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated, reliable, and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team at Cwmaman. As Maintenance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for our residents and staff. Your work will help maintain the comfort and well-being of our community, as well as ensuring all repairs and upkeep are carried out to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance and repairs on the building and grounds, including plumbing, electrical, and heating systems. Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure all equipment is functioning correctly. Redecorate rooms and common areas as needed, including painting, wallpapering, and general cosmetic repairs. Respond to maintenance requests from staff and residents in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs when required. Maintain an organized inventory of tools and maintenance supplies. Handle emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.

Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in general maintenance, ideally in a care home or similar environment. Ability to perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.). Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. A proactive, positive, and adaptable attitude. Previous experience in a care home setting is an advantage but not required.
